Eyebrow Semi-Permanent Makeup Pre-Appointment Care
To achieve the best pigment retention and beautifully healed brows, please follow these pre-care instructions before your appointment.
4 Weeks Before
- No Botox or cosmetic fillers around the forehead or brow area.
- Avoid laser treatments, chemical peels, or microneedling on the face.
2 Weeks Before
- Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning, or sunburn.
- Do not tint, laminate, wax, thread, or pluck your eyebrows. Your artist will shape your brows during the appointment.
7 Days Before
- Stop using Retinol, Retin-A, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or exfoliating skincare products around the eyebrow area.
- Keep the skin healthy and moisturized.
48 Hours Before
- Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin), Naproxen (Aleve), Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Omega-3 supplements, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginger supplements, and other blood-thinning supplements unless prescribed by your physician.
- Tylenol (Acetaminophen) may be taken if needed, as it does not thin the blood.
24 Hours Before
- Do not consume alcohol.
- Avoid coffee, energy drinks, tea, or other caffeinated beverages.
- Avoid strenuous exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating.
Day of Your Appointment
- Arrive with clean skin free of makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products around the eyebrows.
- Eat a light meal before your appointment.
- Stay well hydrated.
- If you have irritated, sunburned, or broken skin around the brows, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Important Information
Eyebrow Semi-Permanent Makeup is not recommended if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have an active skin infection, rash, or open wound in the treatment area.
- Have taken Accutane within the past 6 months.
- Are currently ill with a fever or infection.
- Have recently received laser treatments or deep chemical peels that have not fully healed.
Following these pre-care instructions helps minimize bleeding, improves pigment retention, promotes faster healing, and delivers the best long-lasting results.
